Srebrenica - Point Zero

Srebrenica

On the way from Novi Sad to Mostar we stopped in Srebrenica, a city where massive killing of the Islamic community happened in 1995 in the recent Balkan war. We were guests in the house of Nusret Efendič and his family, who experienced big losses during the war. They returned to their homes, where Serbian family lived during the war, just few years ago. Nusret's family is now spread - some live in Tuzla, Sarajevo, and in Holland. They visit their home in Srebrenica sometimes during the holidays.

Not long ago they identified the post mortal remains of their father. The funeral ceremony will be held in July 2007 at the group cemetery in Srebrenica.

We named our short rapport video Point Zero. It is as low as a man can fall. But, unfortunately, this experience shows that something like this can happen anywhere at anytime. Despite the believers and religions or just because of it, misused as a tool for developing and raising the hatred amongst people.
