The preliminary meeting 1 was held in  Istanbul on 13th of January 2007, attended by the project leader Drago Pintaric, art director of the project Želimir Žilnik, coordinator of the theoretical part of the project Kevin Robins, representatives from Bilgi University Asu Aksoy, coordinator of the intermedia part of the project Bojan Matjasic, field Coordinator of Community Volunters (TOG) Emrah Gürsel and Youth leaders  from Bilgi University Yöruk Kurtaran and Neslihan Özturk.

The main reason of the meeting was the preparation of the back-end organisational and logistic structure for the realization of the project in Istanbul. We have decided, that the partners in Istanbul will prepare the application for the Turkish National Agency – EU programme Youth, and that will try to apply it already in February, with second possibility of applying on 1st of April.

When making the application, they will follow the framework, based in the prior, already confirmed applications that have been sent by the coordinating group KUD Pozitiv to the European Cultural Foundation in Amsterdam and Slovenian National Agency – EU programme Youth in Ljubljana.

Partners from Istanbul will try to find some other financial funding from institutions in Istanbul and Turkey. The spectre and intensity of the exchange in Istanbul will be based on the amount of funding they manage to gain for this part of the exchange and project realization. In case of lower financial budget, the size of the realization in Istanbul will be lessened and coverage for the expenses of the exchange will be disposed from other project funds intended for the realization of the project as a whole.

There are two possible terms for the start of the exchange in Istanbul:
- First is on 1st of July 2007 and would last between 7-10 days, which would then lead to exchange in Mostar around 10th of July.
- The second possibility is beginning on 7th of August after the exchange in Slovenia.

In case of first option the preliminary meeting in Istanbul is planned in start of June 2007, and in case of the second option the preliminary meeting in Istanbul would be in start of July, just before the exchange in Mostar – Novi Sad.

Exchange group from Istanbul will consist mainly of students of the Bilgi University, which will also partially affect the role that this group will play in Istanbul and in the project itself. Important part of the project will be the conference on the theme of interculturality that could be carried out in the framework of Bilgi University. This would strengthen the theoretical groundwork of the project in its essence, and would serve as a good foundation for the practical part of the exchange that will follow.
